- Access to Mackaya Bella Lodge is on a Farm Rood, concrete strips and dirt, not suitable for cars with a low ground clearance. High rise vehicles and 4×4 vehicles are recommended. We are about 3k from the main road, the R600
- Vehicles with a low ground clearance do use the road daily but this would depend on your off road driving skills
- Check in time is from 2pm until 6pm unless by prior arrangement.
- Check out time is before 10 am.
- Guests are requested to email/sms us two days before arrival to give us your estimated time of arrival.
- Free Wi-Fi
- No pets are allowed
- No smoking
- No outside visitors will be allowed without prior consent
- No excess noise at any time
- Please inform us of any breakages
- Lost property; Please make sure you check your room prior to leaving and remove all your personal belongings as we do not take responsibility for lost items. If any items are left behind these will be retained for 3 months only. It is your responsibility to arrange for collection.
- Items to bring with you, sun screen, insect repellent, sun hat, sun screen, hiking boots, good walking shoes/boots, rain jacket, warm jacket, swimming towels, swimming costume
- The nearest village which has a full range of services is Winterton just over 30km away
- In the event of a power outage we cook on gas and have solar lanterns.
- The Oaks Supermarket is at Dragons Peaks, about 3km away. Petrol and diesel are available there.
- Please be aware we are in a nature conservation area surrounded by wildlife and indigenous vegetation.
